Hi there! I’m Rebecca Tamm, owner/operator of Michigan Massage and Wellness, a bodywork and wellness center located in Troy, Michigan. For over 13 years it has been my goal to help people relieve their aches, pains, tension and stress through massage therapy. In 2016 I embarked on a new venture as a movement educator after becoming a certified LifeStretch instructor through the Stretch to Win Institute in Arizona. Following that, I became a certified Roll Model® Method practitioner and in 2017 I completed my Yoga Tune Up® teacher training.
LifeStretch is a mobility-stretch class designed to help people gain flexibility in the body, mind and spirit so they are functionally more capable of dealing with the physical and mental demands of life. This is a slower paced class that is appropriate for all fitness levels and will leave you feeling refreshed and relaxed.
The Roll Model® Method is a soft-tissue conditioning, self-care fitness format that utilizes the various Roll Model® Therapy Balls for self-massage/self myofascial release. The therapy ball work that I incorporate into my classes work as a wonderful adjunct to the massage therapy sessions I provide to clients as well as a quick fix when you are at your desk and need quick relief from some nagging back or neck pain.
Yoga Tune Up® is a fitness therapy format built around erasing pain, increasing posture and enhancing performance. I like to say that Yoga Tune Up® is yoga for people who don’t like yoga. Kiss your sun salutations and repetitive downward dogs goodbye and hello to a unique blend of movement and corrective exercise. By helping you to identify your ‘body blind spots’; the areas that are overused, underused or misused, YTU helps to heal damaged muscles and establishes healthy movement patterns.
